Sunset Supper

Pike Place Market after hours with unlimited locally sourced food, wine and spirits. What seriously could be a better combination on a Friday night?  Nothing.

I joined some friends for the annual Sunset Supper to benefit the Pike Place Market Foundation on what I think ended up being the hottest day in Seattle for the year.  As a newbie to the event, I was a little overwhelmed by the mass of people at the beginning of the event, but was glad I had friends that were veterans who could help me with helpful tricks (like how to navigate the crowds and also how to hold utensils, plates and a glass all in the same hand to maximize your experience…yes, there is a trick J).

If you know me, you know I love a good dance party, so I was beyond giddy when the evening ended with a dance party in the street lit only by the Great Wheel, the city lights and the moon.

Such a fun night, a great cause AND I even got to meet the founder of Cupcake Royale.  I was so excited and I am pretty sure I scared her with my enthusiasm for her company, but I guess that is not entirely a bad thing.
