It is pretty hard to not have a magnificent day when it consists of island hopping, snorkeling and having fun with some amazing Australians. The day started at a marina, where we hopped aboard a speedboat which took us to Phi Phi Ley Island, which featured a very busy beach and was the location for the Leonardo DiCaprio film entitled The Beach.
We then hopped back on the boat and headed to Monkey Beach, but the tide was too high, so the monkeys were in the trees instead of the non-existent beach.
We stopped off shore not far from Monkey Beach where we had time to go snorkeling and swim with the tropical fish. Pictured are my two new Aussie friends, Rogeria and Geena. They were such lovely women!
From there, we headed to Phi Phi Don Island where we had lunch outside under the shade of a tent overlooking some beautiful rocks.
Our last (and my favorite!) stop was Khai Nai Island, a small island that had many cool rock formations popping up on the shores. Me and my new Australian friends sipped on coconut water as we lounged in the colorful beach chairs to conclude a wonderful day.
